Where can I get performance car insurance?

I'm thinking of buying a 6-7 year old performance car from Jaguar or Maserati which comes with a very high insurance group. Even with 30+ years NCB I suspect that the regular insurers will not offer the best deals. Can you advise how best to find appropriate insurers for such cars? This will be an additional car and will likely be used for 7-8000 miles per year.

When insuring a high performance car we would suggest using comparison sites as with any other kind of car, but also trying specialist insurers such as Performance Direct and Adrian Flux who typically do not appear on comparison sites. If you are planning on using the car sparingly you may wish to consider looking at a model that is ten years old or more, as you could then look at modern classic insurance which is designed for vehicles travelling limited miles each year.
