Corolla coil pack problems...

I keep having a problem with my O2 sensor in my Corolla 1.4 petrol. I have had all 4 coil packs replaced but after a few weeks the o2 sensor light comes on and the engine is misfiring and only runnig on perhaps 3 cylinders. I suspect a deeper problem but my mechanic is at a loss.

So if your O2 sensor (lambda) warning light is on, then why has the mechanic not changed the sensor? If it is faulty then this would result in the symptoms that you describe.
