What should I look for when buying a 2006 Saab 9-3 Vector?

I about to move to Germany and am thinking about getting a 2006 Saab 9-3 Vector. You have it on one of your top ten lists, but some of the reviews that I have read seem to indicate that you have to be quite careful about which model you buy and its age. Is this true? If so, what are the things that you need to worry about and how can you find them when looking at a secondhand car?

The top ten lists are merely based on website viewings of information about the car and are not a measure of how good they are. But a petrol-engined 9-4 is a decent enough car. The diesels have the problems.
