I bought a cheap Ford Focus with an EGR fault - can I expect it to be repaired?

Two weeks ago I bought a relatively cheap (£1190) Ford Focus from a garage that has a fault with the exhaust gas recirculation system. The repair has been quoted at £450. Do I have any recourse with the garage I bought it from? I am aware there is a certain risk with buying cheaper cars and that this time I got unlucky, but any advice would be appreciated.

That is a very cheap Ford Focus. I don't think it's reasonable to expect it to be perfect. But the garage that sold it might negotiate or do a cheaper repair.
