Where can I get a microfiche for a 2004 Vauxhall Vectra? I want to replace my EGR valve.

Where can I find a microfiche for a 2004 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0-litre diesel? I'm trying to see the pipework for the EGR system. My local Vauxhall dealer wants nearly £400 plus fitting for an EGR valve, and I want to by-pass this if I can.

Sorry, I don't know where you'll find a microfiche. However you can blank the EGR valve off. In addition, i have copied and pasted this from the Vauxhall forum, which may be very useful.

"The EGR valve is the round unit that sits in front and below the leak-off pipes. The large 3-inch charge pipe connects below it. The EGR has a small pipe connected to it and runs to a solenoid near the battery.
Remove the EGR with the two screws. You may find it is full of oily coke (mine was very dirty). Give it a good clean (it takes a while). Also take off the charge pipe and give the inlet a clean up and flush. Petrol and de-carb can be used to clean these parts, and I found an old toothbrush useful for this. The EGR has a small rubber O-ring gasket. I was not able to source one of these as Vauxhall do not sell them separately.
The result should be better starting, smoother running and more MPG!"

Far better than previous Vectra. Now with decent handling and an excellent ride. Plenty of safety kit. Roomy in the front. Big boot. Good looks.
