Renault Clio 1.5 dci - Clio alternator - Daniel Espley

I have my Clio booked in to have the alternator changed next week. I'm trying to find a recon unit. The garage told me I need the part number from the old one as there are several possibilities, however Autodoc online found me an alternator after asking for the car's VIN. Should I trust Autodoc, or wait for the part number from the original?

Only sure way of finding the correct part , is to wait until the old unit is removed. Likely to be a few options . I would check with the garage that they are happy to fit a unit supplied by yourself. If it doesn’t work, you’ll end up paying twice for labour .
