Electric vans are still something of a niche at the moment, with small businesses and sole traders put off by the limited range and high price. That said, there are some promising models on the way. Ford will launch the plug-in hybrid Transit Custom later this year and Mercedes Benz will launch the electric eVito in the summer while Citroen is expected to offer an electric version of the excellent Berlingo in 2020.
