Should I cancel my order on a Volkswagen Transporter following the scandal?

I put a deposit on this van last week at our local VW dealer, I was supposed to collect the van this afternoon Friday 25th September . After a lot of thought I told them I wanted some more time to think about buying the van because of what has come out in the news this week, do you think l should buy the van? Or wait to see what else develops?

The scandal seems to be about the previous generation of EA 189 diesel engines, not the latest EA 288s.
