What's the most reliable, cheap, used van?

I'm looking for advice on buying the best mid-size, used van for £4000 - £5000. I want the most reliable, cheap to tax van I can buy. I'm thinking Peugeot Expert, but any advice is welcome.

The Peugeot Expert is a good all-rounder, but has its fair share of reported problems when it comes to the brakes and electrics. ESP also wasn't fitted as standard. For the full review, see: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/peugeot/expert-2.../

Depending on how much loadspace you need, I'd opt for the Ford Transit Connect. It's good to drive, easy to work on and plentiful on the used market. For our full review and used buying guide, see: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-con.../
