Can you recommend a reliable Euro6 van for working in London?

I have a friend who operates a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter LWB for a living in South East London and he will shortly need a Euro6 model to keep costs down for his central London trips. My friend's 2011 Sprinter has been a great workhorse, but it's not been without its problems in the two years and 50,000 miles that he's had it (new clutch, injector, screen washer bottle and EGR Valve). It only has about 130,000 miles on the clock. Of the models you reviewed, which do you think will be most reliable? We were considering a Nissan NV300 or Toyota Proace (he doesn't need a vehicle as big as the Sprinter), until we discovered that they were French vans, and our mechanic advised against anything French if reliability was a concern. Are there any other vans we should consider?

The Proace is indeed based on the Citroen Dispatch and Peugeot Expert. However, unlike its French rivals, the Toyota is sold with a five-year/100,000 mile warranty as standard. It's worth noting that no other van in its class gets this type of manufacturer-backed cover as standard: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/toyota/proace-20.../

In my opinion, the Ford Transit Custom is the best mid-size panel van you can buy. It’s easy to drive, comfortable and affordable to buy and run. However, we’ve had reports of teething issues with the latest Euro6 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine, so your friend might want to wait until these have been resolved as the older 2.2 TDCi versions will be Euro5: vans.honestjohn.co.uk/van-reviews/ford/transit-cus.../
