Volkswagen broadens Caddy and Transporter ranges

The Volkswagen Caddy and Transporter van ranges have been broadened with the addition of two new trim levels – Highline and Trendline. These add addition specification without a significant hike in price.

The Caddy Trendline comes with Bluetooth, an improved audio system featuring a ‘ParkPilot’ screen linked to the rear parking sensors, as well as cruise control, electric windows and numerous extra storage areas. Normally these extras would add up to £1555, but the Trendline Caddy is only £900 (+VAT) more than the standard model, saving £650.

Savings are even greater with the Caddy Highline, which comes with £3245 of extras but costs £1900 (+ VAT) more than the standard model. Enhancements include leather trim and climatic air con, as well as alloy wheels, front foglights and an alarm, along with all the Trendline gear.

The Trendline and Highline trim levels are available on the larger Transporter too. Transporter Trendline models get Bluetooth, AUX-in, cruise control, armrests, a comfort pack, premium dashboard, parking sensors and some cosmetic extras. The panel van version gets a full bulkhead. Upgrading to Trendline costs £1100 for the panel van and £1250 for the Kombi.

The Transporter Highline gets the same treatment as the Caddy, with leather interior, alarm, front foglights and climatic air con. Orders for the Trendline and Highline models are open now. The Caddy range starts at £13,715 plus VAT, while the Transporter line up kicks off at £17,815 plus VAT.
