Wellhouse to introduce new Terrier variants at NEC show

Yorkshire-based camper van convertors Wellhouse Leisure will launch several new models at the NEC Motorhome and Caravan show in October. Three new Transit Custom based Terrier variants will appear, including an new, more affordable entry-level model.

Among the new models is the Terrier Lux, an entry-level Transit Custom based model, priced from £34,000. This has two fixed rear seats that convert into twin beds, plus there is a rear kitchen with a fridge and containers for fresh and waste water. There is also a wardrobe and an optional cassette toilet. Buyers can choose an elevating or high roof.

Wellhouse will also debut the Terrier 2, which gets a new interior design using "more modern" Italian fittings by Technoform. Aside from the new furniture the Terrier 2 retains the same specifications as before, with SE and Sport variants available. Prices for the new model start at £43,000, rising to £46,500. A concept sketch is below.

Finally, Wellhouse will premiere the Terrier M-Camper (pictured above). This is based on the Transit Custom by M-Sport, designed to celebrate 50 years of the Ford Transit. M-Sport builds Ford’s World Rally Championship vehicles, hence the sporty bodywork, alloy wheels and paintwork.

Inside there are white M-Sport dials, plus a sports steering wheel, blue seatbelts and Nappa leather seats. Aside from those tweaks the M-Sport is the same as the Terrier 2, with new interior furnishings, an elevating roof and a sliding seat/bed arrangement. Drive comes from a 155PS 2.2-litre Duratorq diesel engine, linked to a six-speed transmission.

The NEC Motorhome and Caravan is open from 10am-6pm from the 13-18 October 2015.
