Fiat Doblo gets new engine and fuel saving tech for 2020

The Fiat Doblo is getting a new engine and better levels of standard equipment for 2020. The small van is available to order now and is priced from £15,995, excluding VAT.

The revised Doblo panel van – labelled by Fiat as the MY20 model – will reach showrooms in the winter and boast some important updates.

The 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine is now available with 80PS and 95PS, while the 1.6-litre MultiJet engine can deliver either 105PS or 120PS; however, the 1.4 petrol engine has been dropped from the line-up.

All versions of the Doblo get Fiat's fuel efficiency Eco Pack as standard, which adds engine start/stop, a smart alternator and an electronically-controlled fuel pump to save energy and ensure higher combustion efficiency.

Fiat hasn’t released any fuel figures for the Doblo MY20, but has confirmed that the small van will retain its maximum load area of up to 5.4 cubic metres and a payload of up to 1000kg.

As before, there are four trim levels for buyers to choose from: Standard, SX, Tecnico and Sportivo. The SX trim gets a near-side sliding door, driver height-adjustable seat and body coloured door mirrors, the Tecnico trim adds air conditioning, reversing sensors, navigation and cruise control.

The range-topping Sportivo trim gets black metallic paint, 16-inch alloy wheels and folding electric heated door mirrors.
