Fiat launches new Punto van
Fiat has revealed the latest version of its Punto van which essentially replaces the Grande Punto van. It gets a range of improvements while retaining the same load capacity of 1.0 m3 with a payload of 520kg. It's available to order now with prices starting at around £10,990 plus VAT.
On the outside there are subtle styling changes with colour coded front and rear bumpers while standard equipment includes ESP stability control, remote central lokcing, electric windows, electrically adjustable door mirrors, twin airbags, a CD stereo, height and reach adjustable steering plus a height adjustable driver's seat.
The new Punto van is powered by Fiat's impressive 1.3 MultiJet II diesel which comes in three different versions The entry-level model has version with 190Nm which averages a claimed 67.2mpg while emitting 112g/km of CO2.
The most economical model is the 85PS which gets an engine stop/start system. This helps cut emissions to just 90g/km while the claimed economy is 80.7mpg. It's priced at £11,490 plus VAT. The SX trim model comes exclusively with the top 95PS engine with 200Nm of torque. It also has the stop/start system which means CO2 of 110g/km with economy of 67.2mpg. It costs £11,990 plus VAT.
