Fiat adds larger Doblo variant

Fiat has added a new Doblo variant – the XL – which is the largest in the Doblo van range. Thanks to the combination of high roof and long wheelbase it has a load volume of 5.0m3 and a payload of 1000kg.

Both Cargo (panel van) and Combi (with rear seats and windows) variants are offered. Gross vehicle weights vary from 2215kg to 2500kg depending on model. Order books are open now and prices start at £15,765+VAT.

Three Euro5 engines are available – two 1.6-litre diesels with wither 90PS or 105PS, and a 2.0-litre diesel with 135PS – but the Combi version is only available with the 2.0-litre unit. Emissions range from 145g/km to 167g/km depending on model, with the most fuel efficient variants managing 49.6mpg on the combined cycle.

Cargo N1, Combi N1 and M1 versions will be offered in two trim levels – Standard and SX. Standard models come with central locking, electric windows, CD player, ceiling storage area and sliding doors, while SX models get fog lights and remote central locking, along with rear electric windows in the Combi and a PVC load area cover in the Cargo.

Combi M1 models are more generously equipped as standard, with side airbags and ESP. Optional extras include Blue&Me Bluetooth and TomTom docks.
