Toyota introduces ProAce van
The new ProAce, a medium sized van from Toyota, will be available from Spring 2013. It offers up to 7m3 of load space and will be available in two heights and lengths. The largest model has a maximum payload of 1200kg and can be specified as panel van, glass van or crew cab.
Further versatility is provided by the door options – sliding doors can be specified on both sides and the tailgate can be specified as either upward hinged or dual side-hinged. Load capacities range from 5m3 in the smaller models to 7m3 in the largest. Maximum width between the wheel arches is 1245mm, with a maximum load length of 2584mm in the longer variant. The ProAce as a maximum towing weight of two tonnes.
The cabin features a large windscreen and elevated seating position to give a good view of the road, while there are plenty of car-like comforts including electric windows, remote central locking and and adjustable steering column.
Three diesel engine options will be offered, a 1.6-litre with 90PS and 180Nm of torque and a two 2.0-litre diesels with 128PS and 163PS. Peak torque for the 2.0-litre engines is 320Nm and 340Nm respectively. The 1.6-litre engine is mated to a five-speed manual while the 2.0-litre engines come with a six-speed gearbox. All engines are Euro V compliant.
