SsangYong launches new Korando Commercial
SsangYong's new Korando CSX Commerical has been unveiled, offering buyers the chance to combine off-road capability with 1312 litres of load volume, two tonne towing capacity, and a 433kg payload for £15,995 plus VAT.
The new five-door CSX is pitched into the delivery van market, and offers a very competitive all-round package, espcially considering its all-wheel drive transmission, high equipment levels and five-year warranty. It becomes the third model in SsangYong's commercial vehicle line-up.
The Korando range of cars has already established itself as a value proposition, combining a 2.0-litre diesel that develops 149PS with 360Nm of torque (and now puts out 157g/km), all-wheel drive transmission, and smart Italian styling, for several thousand pounds less than its rivals. The company is hoping the commercial CSX will have a similar impact in the LCV market.
The all-wheel drive system will be a strong selling point for rural users - it has a 'Torque on Demand' 4x4 system (that runs in front-wheel drive mode unless conditions get bad), and equipped with ESP with Hill Start Assist, and mud and snow tyres as standard. Standard equipment includes rear parking sensors, leather covered steering wheel and gearknob, cruise control and a Kenwood MP3/CD in-car entertainment with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.
Vital statistics are 1312 litre load volume, load deck length of 152.5cm, and 96.5cm between the wheel arches.
