New Amarok Dark Label launched by Volkswagen
Volkswagen has launched another special edition model - the Amarok Dark Label. Limited to just 300 models, the Dark Label comes with Volkswagen's 2.0 BiTDI engine with 180PS and gets a range of styling extras including black 18-inch alloy wheels. Prices start from £26,125 excluding VAT and it goes on sale from September 22.
To make it stand out from the standard Amarok, the Dark Label model has matt black side bars and footstep along with a black rear bumper and dark label graphics down the side. It also gets wider wheelarches and an underbody guard below the front bumper along with dark tinted windows and darkened tail lights. Three paint colours are available - Deep Black, Reflex Silver and Natural Grey.
The standard model comes with the 2.0 BiTDI engine with a six-speed manual and selectable 4Motion but the majority of the limited edition run is made up of eight-speed automatic models which have an automatic 4Motion system. The automatic also gets low-rolling resistance tyres, start/stop and regenerative braking. It costs £27,855 without VAT.
Inside there is anthracite Alcantara upholstery and velour floor mats plus a multi-functional steering wheel, leather gear lever and navigation with a six-inch colour touchscreen. Other extras include Bluetooth, heated seats, heated door mirrors, electric windows and additional door dust seals as standard.
There is also a range of Amarok Dark Label accessories including a hard tonneau cover, Dark Label branded seat covers, chrome door handles and roof-mounted styling bar lights.
