Citroen improves Berlingo economy

Citroen has made changes to its Berlingo range, improving economy by around 2mpg across the range. The Berlingo is Citroen's most popular van and has a Peugeot equivalent in the form of the Partner. 

The main seller in the Berlingo range is the 1.6 HDi 75PS engine available in the Berlingo X, LX and Enterprise. Revisions to this engine mean claimed economy improves from 55.4mpg to 56.5mpg while emissions also drop fractionally by 2g/km.

The Berlingo LX e-HDi 90PS manual micro-hybrid has also been improved with average official economy now up from 58.9mpg to 61.4mpg.

Citroen offers the Berlingo van in two sizes, standard L1 and stretched L2 versions that share the same wheelbase. Both platforms are based on the Citroen C4 of the same age, giving this van a comfortable ride on bumpy roads. 

The Berlingo is also the only panel van in this market to be supplied as standard with Teletrac satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking.
