SsangYong launches facelifted Korando commercial

The van version of the SsangYong Korando has been given a facelift to bring it into line with the passenger car model. Alongside the new look SsangYong has also introduced a cheaper two-wheel drive CS variant priced at just £12,995 excluding VAT.

On the outside, the updated Korando gets a new front end with redesigned headlights, a black mesh grille and LED daytime running lights. Inside it gets significant updates with an all-new dashboard and improvements to refinement in order to reduce cabin noise.

The single engine choice remains unchanged with a sole 2.0-litre diesel with 149PS and 360Nm available. And now alongside the 4x4 CSX model, priced at a very competitive £14,295, there's an even cheaper two-wheel drive CS model.

The CS is based on the passenger Korando SE version and comes well equipped for the money with air conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, a leather steering wheel and gear lever, electric windows and a CD system with iPod connectivity and Bluetooth. It also has ESP and hill start assist.

Like the rest of the SsangYong range, the Korando Commercial comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty which covers all major mechanical components including wheel bearings, suspension joints and bushes, steering joints, shock absorbers and even the audio system.  Wearable components such as clutch discs and brake friction materials are covered for one year or 12,000 miles, and the battery and paintwork for three years.
