Volkswagen Caddy Black Edition extended by popular demand

The limited run Black Edition of the Caddy has been extended until 31 March 2015 by Volkswagen, owing to high demand. Priced at £17,860 (excluding VAT), the van includes £650 of free equipment, compared to a similar Caddy in Highline trim.
The Caddy Black Edition is distinguished by Deep Black pearlescent paint, polished 17-inch alloy wheels and silver roof rails. It also gets body coloured bumpers and wing mirrors, and in a nod to sportiness, the Black Edition sits on Dynamic Suspension, lowering the ride height by a significant 27mm.
Inside, the van gets leather seats and gear lever, along with a multi-function steering wheel and full size steel bulkhead.
Powered by a 1.6-litre TDI diesel engine with 102PS and 250Nm of torque, the Caddy Black Edition will return a claimed 55.4mpg and emit 134g/km of CO2.
Based on the Highline specification, the additional equipment is worth £2150, but the Black Edition’s list price means that the customer saves roughly £1500 compared to a Highline.
