New Caravelle available in two-tone paint special edition
Volkswagen has launched a new special edition of the latest Caravelle with bespoke red and white two-tone paintwork. Called the Caravelle Generation Six - it costs a hefty £52,051 on the road, including VAT.
So what do you get for your money? Well along with the special paint - a homage to the 1960s Volkswagen T1 designs - the Generation Six has 18-inch 'Disc' alloy wheels, LED headlights and tail lights, front fog lights, a chrome grille and privacy glass for the rear windows.
It's powered by the latest Euro 6 2.0 TDI engine and there are two versions - a standard 150PS model and the top 204PS variant, the latter costing £54,547. Both have a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard.
Inside, the Generation Six has special Alcantara and leather seats, a leather multi-function steering wheel and the Discover Media navigation system which includes DAB and Bluetooth. There are also decorative inserts on the dash top to match the two tone exteriot, along with illuminated steps with Generation Six lettering.
There are plenty of useful extras as standard including dynamic chassis control, front and rear parking sensors, side scan monitoring for your blind spot plus AppConnect, so you can use apps from your phone through the touchscreen.
