CV Show 2016: Fiat launches Fullback pick-up
Fiat has launched the Fullback pick-up at the NEC Commercial Vehicle Show. Based on the Mitsubishi L200, the double cab pick-up will reach showrooms in May and is to be powered by a 2.4-litre diesel. All models will get four-wheel drive as standard.
The Fiat Fullback uses the same platform, engine and running gear as the L200. This means it boasts a one-tonne payload and a braked towing limit of 3.1 tonnes.
Under the bonnet the Mitsubishi-sourced 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine will be offered with either 150PS or 180PS, along with the choice of two transmissions - a new six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. Claimed fuel economy will mirror the L200, with an official 42.8mpg for the 150PS five-speed manual.
Two trim levels will be available, but Fiat is remaining tight lipped on standard equipment and pricing. However, expect the Fiat Fullback to start from £21,000 before VAT.
The CV Show takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 26-28 April. To obtain your free ticket to the event click here.
