Wheelchair conversion firm adds petrol-powered Volkswagen Caddy to its range

Wheelchair conversion specialist Sirus Automotive has launched a new range of petrol-powered Volkswagen Caddys. The MPVs can accommodate most power and manual chairs, while allowing the wheelchair user to drive or use the vehicle as passenger.

The new range can be leased via the Motability scheme or purchased directly from Sirus Automotive. The wheelchair passenger-focussed Caddy Up-Front starts from £26,195 and features a nine degree ramp, griping surface technology to improve access and a fully automated remote tailgate and ramp system. The suspension can also be lowered manually.

The Caddy Drive allows the wheelchair user to drive and is available from £34,995. Accommodating for most large powered chairs, the Drive features a lowered floor to improve headroom for taller drivers and has a re-located gear selector combined with electronic handbrake for ease-of-access and increased floor space.

All of the Volkswagen Caddy petrol and diesel powered Sirus conversions come with a three-year warranty, supported by Sirus mobile engineers, and are available to order now.
