Van deals: Volkswagen Amarok gets free sat nav until end of September
Volkswagen Amarok buyers can get free navigation and a chrome pack on all Highline models registered before the end of September. The offer adds £1300 (excluding VAT) worth of kit to the pick-up for free and comes ahead of Volkswagen introducing the facelifted Amarok in late October.
All Amaroks in Highline trim, registered before the 30 September, get a factory-fit navigation system worth £590 (excluding VAT) for free. The five-inch colour touchscreen system fits flush into the dashboard and includes a CD player and maps for the whole of Western Europe.
Buyers also get the choice of a free chrome pack (worth over £800). The pack includes chrome door handle covers, chrome side indicator surrounds and mirror caps plus a polished steel rear styling bar. Alternatively, buyers can have the rear styling bar removed and claim £500 off the price of a hardtop load cover.
The offer comes as Volkswagen prepares to update the Amarok for 2016. From late October the range will be updated with improved 3.5 tonne towing capacity and the option of an all-new 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. The facelift also adds styling updates, with the Amarok getting a new grille, bumpers and bonnet.
As well as improved towing capacity, Volkswagen is promising big improvements in ride comfort and refinement, with servotronic steering system and larger brakes fitted as standard to provide a more car-like experience. Automatic post-collision braking will also be fitted as standard, along with four-wheel drive.
