Transit Courier Sport Van makes UK debut at Birmingham CV Show 2017
Ford has given its smallest purpose built van a sporty makeover as part of the CV Show 2017. The Transit Courier Sport Van will go on sale in May and feature alloy wheels, racing stripes and grey door mirrors. Prices will start from £14,126, before VAT.
The Transit Courier Sport Van is available with either the 100PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine or the 95PS 1.5-litre TDCi diesel; however, despite the sporty connotations, performance remains unchanged from the standard version, with 0-62mph taking a leisurely 13 seconds. Claimed economy will range from 53.3mpg for the petrol to 70.6mpg for the diesel.
Most of the updates are visual, with all Sport Vans getting front fog lights, racing stripes, grey door mirrors and 16-inch alloy wheels. Both the front and rear bumpers are body coloured and come finished with metal skid plates as standard. Inside the driver gets a leather trimmed steering wheel with red stitching, air con and Ford's latest Sync system, with DAB audio and CD player.
As with the standard Transit Courier, all Sport Vans will get a 1.6 metre load deck and be capable of carrying a Euro pallet, weighing up to 660kg, The Sport Van also gets a full steel bulkhead as standard, along with LED load area lighting.
