Mercedes-Benz X-Class V6 prices announced
Mercedes-Benz has announced that the X-Class V6 diesel will cost from £38,350 when deliveries start in November.
Badged the X350d, the quoted price for the range-topper doesn't include VAT - meaning private buyers will have to fork out £46,020 for the luxury pick-up truck. The current X-Class range starts at £27,310 (exl VAT) for the X220d in Pure trim, while the former top X250d costs £30,510 in Progressive guise.
The six-cylinder diesel engine is a 3.0-litre turbocharged unit producing 258PS and 550Nm of torque. Drivers can flick between three different off-road modes and five different drive modes, ranging from Eco for fuel-efficient driving to Sport for faster reactions and Off-road when mud-plugging.
Available exclusively in Power trim, the X350d will only come as a doublecab model in the UK, featuring permanent four-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include painted bumpers with added chrome, chrome fog lights, LED front and rear lights, electrically folding door mirrors and Keyless Go.
Leather seats are standard (they're heated and electrically adjustable up front), as are 18-inch alloy wheels and heated washed fluid jets. A seven-inch infotainment system provides access to DAB radio and a Garmin navigation system.
There's a host of safety kit, ranging from active lane keeping assist to downhill speed regulation, which helps maintain a low speed when descending steep hills.
The X-Class is sold exclusively via the Mercedes-Benz Vans dealer network, with deliveries for the X350d due to start in November 2018.
