Mercedes-Benz teases new Vito Sport van
The Mercedes-Benz Vito is getting a high octane makeover, with the introduction of a new Sport trim. Available to order now, the Vito Sport gets lowered suspension, full bodykit and the choice of 17 or 19-inch alloy wheels. Prices start at £37,475 before VAT.
The new Vito Sport will rival the Ford Transit Custom Sport and arrive in Mercedes-Benz Van showrooms in late-2019. The Sport models will represent the new top trim in the Vito line-up, but be limited to crew cab and tourer versions at launch.
The Sport van comes with almost every bell and whistle from the Vito catalogue, with leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, LED headlights and alloy wheels. Sport upgrades include stiffened suspension (lowered by 10mm), side skirts, bodywork graphics and chrome roof rails.
Buyers can spec the Sport van in L1 or L2 versions of the Vito, with the choice of 116 or 119 engines, with a respective 163PS or 190PS. Both four-cylinder turbodiesels are linked to a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
Full payload and specs will be announced in the coming weeks, but prices (before VAT) for the six-seater Vito Sport crew van start at £37,475 while the nine-seater Tourer Sport will commence from £40,570.
