Holidays are back with new Citroen camper

Citroen has announced a new factory-backed motorhome based on the Citroen Dispatch, which offers sleeping accommodation for up to four people and is expected to go on sale for under £50,000.

The Citroen Holidays was developed in conjunction with converter Bravia Mobil and features a pop-up roof tent, fold out main bed and a built-in 16-litre fridge, shower, 25-litre water tank and retractable table, with pivoting front seats to create a dining area.

It’s a direct rival for the likes of the Ford Transit Custom Nugget and the Volkswagen California, following a growing trend for manufacturer-backed camper conversions.

The cabin is plush, with a 10-inch multimedia touchscreen, while climate control throughout,  USB A and C-ports and wireless charging add further convenience, as do twin electric side doors.

A choice of two diesel engines is offered on the Citroen Holidays. A 144bhp 2.0-litre with a six-speed manual gearbox or a 177bhp 2.0-litre diesel with an eight-speed automatic.

The Citroen Holidays will go on sale in spring 2024 with a pricing announcement expected shortly.

I need one vehicle than I can use as a car and a van, what are my options?

I have a car and a van but use both, I'm wanting to sell both and just get one vehicle that will do the job of both vehicles. Any ideas what type would I be looking at?
If you need a vehicle that can operate as both a car and a van, we would suggest looking at a van-derived car such as the Ford Tourneo Connect, Volkswagen Caddy MPV and Citroen Berlingo, all of which have the flexibility to do both jobs.
