Maxus eDeliver 5 makes global debut at the CV Show 2024

Among a number of UK and global debuts at the CV Show 2024 in Birmingham, the most excitement was focused on the all-new Maxus E-Deliver 5, which moves the all-electric van manufacturer into one of the biggest market segments.

On sale now priced from £34,000, the first Maxus eDeliver 5s will reach customers in August 2024.

The new van uses a 64kWh battery pack and a 161PS electric motor, giving a claimed range of 208 miles. The Maxus eDeliver 5 is offered in one wheelbase and two body heights. It is similar in size to the Vauxhall Vivaro.

All models feature twin side loading doors and a cargo volume of either 6.6 or 7.6 cubic metres depending on roof height.

All versions will feature driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance and a 360-degree surround-view camera. Tech includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch touchscreen and ‘Internet of Vehicles’ capability, including voice control and telematics.

Maxus also took the opportunity to reveal a new seven-seat MPV, the Maxus MIFA 7, at the show.

Can I get a van speed limiter removed?

I’m looking at purchasing a 67 plate Citroen Berlingo which currently has its speed restricted to 62mph. Is it possible to get this removed and at what kind of cost?
There are a few companies offering this service but we cannot vouch for their efficacy or the legal or insurance implications of doing so if the van has a factory speed limiter.
