2026 VW Caddy facelift revealed: Fresh design and 80-mile PHEV range

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has revealed the updated VW Caddy, which has been given an extensive facelift for 2026.

The latest model gets a new-look front end, fresh paint options and new alloy wheel designs, along with a substantial interior overhaul — though Volkswagen has yet to reveal images of the new cabin.

The facelift sees a redesigned bumper that will be available in different finishes depending on trim, narrower LED headlamps and a new light signature in line with the company’s ID models and the latest Passat. There's also a new range of exterior colours and new choices of 16-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Mechanically, the Caddy remains unchanged with petrol, diesel and e-Hybrid options. The plug-in hybrid has a range of more than 400 miles and up to 80 miles of electric-only range.

Models include Cargo and Passenger versions, with Standard and Maxi wheelbase lengths and there are Base, Edition, Life and Style trims. The Caddy Cargo Maxi has a load volume of 3.1 cubic metres and a towing capacity of up to 1500kg.

The facelifted VW Caddy range will go on sale in the UK around June/July with starting prices expected to rise slightly to around £29,500 to £31,000. The current base 1.5 TSI petrol is priced at £28,345.

What's the best van to use for fishing trips?

I am looking for best value van for £7000 for social use only. It will be used for for carp fishing but not business use.
Assuming you don't need a large van, then your best choices within this budget are the 2008-18 Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner, the 2010-onwards Volkswagen Caddy, the 2012-21 Ford Transit Connect or the 2007-2020 Renaut Kangoo. Of those, the Citroen and Peugeot will be the least expensive to run, but the Ford is the best one to drive.
