VW Transporter Commerce Pro S: New sporty high-spec edition priced from £43,050

A new high-spec edition of the Volkswagen Transporter has gone on sale, priced from £43,050 (excl. VAT) on-the-road.

The new Volkswagen Transporter Commerce Pro S comes with 17-inch gloss black alloy wheels, a body-coloured front splitter, a gloss black grille, angular side bars and a body-coloured rear spoiler.

Inside, it gets illuminated kick-plates, a high-gloss black display frame and sun visors with illuminated mirrors.

Short and long-wheelbase configurations are available, with diesel and fully electric available at launch — an eHybrid option will follow. It’s offered as both a panel van and a crew-cab Kombi.

The diesel option is the familiar 2.0 TDI with 150PS and a six-speed manual or 170PS and an 8-speed automatic. The e-Transporter comes with the 70 kWh battery with two versions - 218PS or 286PS.

Prices start at £43,050 (excluding VAT) or £509 per month on a Solutions Personal Contract Plan. Diesels are available on a PCP with 4.9% APR representative and £5000 deposit contribution. Electric models are 2.9% APR representative with the same £5000 contribution. The Kombi is available for the same monthly repayment subject to a higher deposit.

The entire Transporter line-up is covered by Volkswagen’s 5+ Promise, which includes five services (three for electric models), three MoTs, a five-year warranty and five years roadside assistance.

Order books are now open, with the first deliveries are expected in April.

Is a Volkswagen T6 a good used buy?

I’ve managed to got some funding from Bristol to council to trade in my old car for something that is Clean Air Zone compliant. The funding lasts until 21st November, so have plenty of time but thought I would get cracking as my current vehicle is starting to become unreliable. Things I am looking for are three seats total (in front) and insulated. I have seen a VW T6 van conversion with 179,864 miles at £10,995. What do you suggest please?
This sounds like a fair price for such a vehicle – a lower mileage on would be more expensive, but the T6 is generally reliable and capable of big mileages. As with any used vehicle, we'd suggest a thorough inspection first.
