What's good
Near identical dimensions of cargo area mean racking of from previous Vivaro will fit in this new version.
Interior is much improved from before with more comfortable seats and less vibration through the cabin.
1.6-litre diesel engine is excellent with impressive refinement, plenty of torque and strong economy.
Standard equipment includes electric windows and mirrors, DAB and ESP stability control.
Clever Flex cargo option means you can carry pipes etc up to 4.15 metres long.
Useful wide angled mirror built into passenger sun visor is helpful at blind junctions.
What's bad
Recall 13-09-2016: Bonnet catch may fail (affecting vans built from 6-06-2014 to 24-04-2016).
Standard stereo is fiddly to use and looks unappealing.
Some interior switches are carried over from previous Vivaro and look dated.
Poor parking brakes.
Only has a three-star 2015 Euro NCAP rating. 52% Passenger Safety; 91% Child Safety; 53% Pedestrian Safety; 57% Safety Assist.
Report of issues with corroded injectors caused by water leaking from windscreen onto top of engine.
14-12-2017: Information received regarding TSB on Renault 1.6 CDTI engines in Vauxhall Vivaro vans: "the current recall we have in place for the Vivaro 1.6 diesel engine is purely an upgrade and is in no relation to any concerns with the emissions set in place. I appreciate your concerns with report recently in the media, however, I would like to assure you this is not the reason for this recall.
