Mitsubishi L200 2.5 DI-D 4Life

Rating: 40.9mpg

The L200 was renewed in 2015 and remains a big seller thanks to its extremely tough construction and robust running gear. It may not be as refined as its Nissan and Volkswagen rivals, but as a workhorse not much can take the same level of abuse.
