What's the best for an electric wheelchair?

We need a car for an electric wheelchair. It is heavy and comes to pieces so we will probably swap both our cars for a more suitable vehicle. Ideally with a lower boot opening and wonder if you could suggest some suitable vehicles.

A van-based people carrier like the new Peugeot Rifter would be an excellent choice for carrying a heavy wheelchair, but it might be too big for your requirements. Consider a Skoda Octavia estate - that's got a big boot and a fairly low lip, as does the smaller Fabia estate. A Honda Jazz might also work well.
