Burning question
I have a 2006 Chevrolet and there is smelly smoke coming out near the radiator. I have since had problems with my engine management light. It went off after a couple of days and has never come on since. Could this be the cause? I phoned the dealer and he said it was still under warranty but it would cost me £65 for them to look at it. If work needs doing I won’t have to pay.

If there is a warranty fault then the dealer has to swallow the cost of
the diagnosis. But it might not be a warranty fault. If the car sucked in some paper that blocked the radiator, or if it has run low on oil then that's down to you. If it's a diesel and the smell is the Diesel Particulate Filter regenerating then that is normal.
