Flat refusal

In 2005 XXX fitted a runflat Bridgestone tyre to my SEAT Leon Cupra (can’t say a bad word about the car). I was sold it as a “special deal”. Having found the invoice it doesn’t appear to be special at £131.12 for one tyre only due to a severe puncture. I have just been to Event Tyres (Manchester) to have the front tyres replaced. They noted I had a runflat on the back that they recommended was removed from the car for safety reasons as the Leon doesn’t have tyre pressure monitoring sensors. I have reluctantly removed the run flat tyre and replaced it. Event Tyres recommended that I write to XXX to ask for a refund and compensation for fitting and recommending a tyre that wasn’t fit for purpose. I would appreciate your perspective on this.

Event Tyres are probably the top people for runflats (I haven’t heard of anyone better), so yes. The tyre should never have been fitted to your Leon.
