Have I damaged my car by running low on fuel?
I recently drove home with a near-empty diesel fuel tank. After filling up, I'm now getting an intermittent engine stutter combined with reduced performance error messages. Have I damaged my car?

If you are lucky it will simply be a clogged fuel filter. If you are unlucky the debris in the tank will have damaged the fuel pump.
If the car has drawn in air instead of fuel at any time then both the pump and injectors could be damaged. I would recommend getting the car inspected by a qualified mechanic.
