Can I cancel trading in my old car?

Can I back out of trading in my old car and still buy the new one?

Have you left a deposit and signed a contract? If so, it depends on the terms you've agreed. Speak to the dealer – ordinarily, it would be fairly normal for a buyer to decide to sell their part-exchange elsewhere. However, in the current climate (with huge demand for used cars), the dealer might be a little more frustrated at the lack of a part-exchange.
