Do electric car running costs take into account battery replacement costs?

Do electric vehicle running costs take into account eventual battery replacement costs?

I'm not sure this will be an issue for the majority of EV owners. Most batteries are provided with a seven or eight-year warranty that guarantees a 70 per cent or better charge capacity.

We haven't received any complaints about battery failure on EVs. And given that the average car is scrapped at 14 years, I'd argue that an EV will last just as long as ICE cars but provide significantly lower maintenance costs due to the fact it has fewer moving parts.
