How do you beat the Hyundai ix35 waiting lists?

I read with interest the number of people who have ordered a Hyundai ix35 and have been waiting many months. Can anyone beat this delay? I ordered a 2ltr Style (Sirus Silver) in May 2010 and I still wait with no confirmation of a delivery date. We live in hope.

Try swapping the order to a 1.7. They are easier to get because the engines are made in Europe rather than in Korea. They are also much more economical. Just no 4WD option.
