If the battery pack of an EV is damaged can it be repaired?
I understand that if the battery pack of an electric car is damaged by debris etc on the road, the whole battery pack has to be replaced as it cannot be repaired. Is this correct or, if not, which cars have batteries that are made up of several modules, any of which can be removed and replaced separately instead of having to replace them all?

Although EVs have drive batteries that are made up of several smaller cells, they are designed to be installed as a single unit. In the unlikely event that one is damaged, it may be possible to replace individual cells, although this depends more on the nature of the damage than the vehicle it is installed in.
EVs are designed and tested to withstand the rigours of extreme conditions and driving environments, so the chances of this kind of damage occurring are very small.
