Skoda Roomster limping

My car, a Skoda Roomster, repeatedly loses power on roundabouts/bumpy roads. The glow plug and TCS warning lights come on and the car goes into some kind of low speed mode. I stop the car, restart, and voila, no problem.
The garage said faulty accelerator, changed it, and the problem still occurs.
The garage still has car and they don't seem to have a clue!

It would appear that the engine is going into limp mode, because a fault exists and the fault is relaying that to the ECU (engine management system),which in turn is reducing the power output.
One would now normally get the engine on a diagnostic check which should show up a fault code and that code can then be related to the fault.
It may be the Glow plugs or it may be the Lambda sensor (fitted to the exhaust) although it could be a number of other things.
As suggested, would get the car on a diagnostic check in the first instance.
