Which new car?

I am considering purchasing two cars, one for myself and one for my wife. The dilemma is what to choose.

I am torn between the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line TDI and Audi A3 Black Edition TDI for myself, and for my wife we are undecided between Ford Focus 1.6 TDI and the Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dCi.

Bit put off by the Nissan as I have discovered it has the Renault engine and I am not too fussed on French cars.

I would like your opinion on which you would consider are the better and more reliable out of the four cars.

The Tiguan facelift is now a much better car than it was before. The A3 is near the end of its production life. Wait for the Qashqai to get the excellent new 1.6DCI 130 diesel engine.
