Run Flat Tyres - do I need to replace them all?

I own a BMW 320 Touring and will soon need to buy new tyres. Runflats are fitted at present and to replace all 4 it looks like I will be paying £1,000+. Friend recommended changing from runflats and buyng steel spare. Is this a better (cheaper) option ?

It's the sort of thing that gets you killed on the hard shoulder of a motorway.

Don't know where you live, but re-price your runflats via www.event-tyres.co.uk
