Downsizing from an Octavia

I have had a Skoda Octavia 2.0 DSG Diesel estate for the last 5 years on a lease from HSBC. It had done 60,000 and has had nothing wrong with it at all in that time - just routine services, MOT and new tyres.

It is time for it to go and I need some advice about a replacement. We no longer need a car this big so smaller is the target (and thus cheaper). I have arthritis in the knees so an auto box is mandatory - I quite like the DSG box.

However, I could do with something a bit higher to make getting into it a bit easier. I have tried configuring up a Golf and a Polo but VW's web site is tedious to use.

Any better suggestions please?

Honda Jazz CVT-7. Or the slightly more upright Hyundai ix20 or KIA Venga 1.6 automatics.
