Pedal to the muddle

After many years of driving I have on odd occasions stalled my car by getting my left foot on the brake as well as the clutch, which could be dangerous. My friends are telling me I should change to an automatic. I would take driving lessons on an automatic to help me adapt but I would appreciate your suggestions as to what would be the simplest one to convert to. I would be looking for a small MPV.

A Toyota Verso 1.8 Valvematic Multidrive S CVT works well. Though after the earthquake supplies from Japan may be restricted
