Head gasket on Corsa

I have a 56 plate Vauxhall Corsa with 40,000 miles. I have taken it to garage as it is losing water and when checked the oil and water are mixing. The garage has quoted £900 to fix and also advised me to get the timing belt done at same time. Is this price about right?

Might be head gasket, might be cylinder head, or might be that the coolant and the automatic transmission fluid are mixing because the connections to the transmission fluid heat exchanger inside the radiator have failed. I'm sorry. Yes, if it's the head gasket, then you would need a new timing belt anyway because the existing one can't be re-used. But the car is due for a new timing belt anyway.
