BMW X3 or Range Rover Evoque

I am considering buying new BMW X3 or Range Rover Evoque. Which will give me most joy, comfort, & least trouble?

The Evoque is much smaller, especially the 'coupe' version. The X3 is a full 5 seater with luggage room for 5. Another benefit is a chain cam engine, and the option of an excellent 8-speed automatic transmission. Very long options lists that can add £20k to the prices.
