Replacing a worn tyre

I am currently talking with Renault re the n/s/r tyre, which wears on the outer edge and has done from new.

I have had the car 4 wheel Lazer aligned and it highlights the rear beam axle is out of alignment. However the tyre needs now to be changed and I felt I would just utilise the spare tyre only whilst waiting for a response from Renault.

The normal road tyres are 185/55/16 on alloys..... The spare is 185/60/15 on steel - is this OK?

Any thoughts

Regards.

You need to replace the worn tyre like for like. The 'spare' is only for emergencies.
